Teresa's Round Robin Band by Band

The Assisi work hearts are from Rae's Millennium Garden Gate. Between the two is a rendition of the window at Dominus Flevit, the traditional spot where Jesus cried over Jerusalem. The window is being stitched in, what Leon Conrad called, precision Blackwork Stem Stitch.

Teresa dropped a "couple" of "subtle" hints that she wanted this band from "The Embroidress". It is worked in perle coton #8 and #12, color 928. The charm is from my beading stash! The "hearts" at the top are two petals from the rose on "The Maiden and the Nightingales", worked in dark blue Splendor and SNC Green Leaves.

Row 1 of 4
Four-sided square (it's in one of the patterns - I saw it somewhere) stitched in DMC Perle 12 #928. This is laid out in a connected V shape , Then in alternating squares there is a Rhodes stitch with Needle Necessities #1412 and a sparkling blue bead on top of each Rhodes stitch.
Row 2 of 4
This is from Millennium Gate - the center is the Sprat Heart, which was taught to us by none other than Michael Driskell, is stitched with Krenik Fine Braid #8 color #2417. Then fanning out from each side of the heart are Encroaching Cross leaves, with which I used Needle Necessities #1412. I made these varying sizes for interest.
Row 3 of 4
The center blackwork should look familiar as it is also from the Millennium Gate (the actual gate) and is stitched in Weeks Dye works #1279 Holly. Then off to each side are Maltese Crosses stitched also with Weeks Dye Works #1279 Holly and topped with a Cross of Anchor 902 Metallic.
Row 4 of 4
For the final row - I went to Miss Alexandra's stash to see what she had available, the final row is Sticky Paws Double Crossed which was stitched with Splendor Silk Burgundy S826 and tied with a running knot across the row with Splendor Silk Gold S1048.

Teresa's bottom

The bottom of Teresa's round robin was designed by Rae and is based on a photograph Teresa took of a door in the basement of The Church of the Nativity in Jerusalem. Teresa then added the two hearts (from one of the garden gates) over-one with the year we completed the round robins.
